1958 Fender Telecaster - Blonde Refin
Recently acquired from the caretaker since 1964, this Top Loader Tele has stories to tell!
Previously finished in a brown shellac, we opted to return it to a more correct Blonde nitro and aged to match the neck and hardware by Kevin Heffernan of KLH guitars. As evidenced the massive divots in the first 3 frets, the guitar desperately needed a set of new vintage-style frets which we installed along with a new bone nut while preserving the original mojo of the neck. The only other thing done to this guitar was removing a jumper wire from the switch which made both pickups active in the “middle“ position. The guitar now functions 100% as intended with the dead tone still in tact. The pots, caps, pickups, hardware, jack, guard, and case are all original to the guitar.

As is the case with instruments owned this long by the same owner, the case and neck do carry the smell of cigarette smoke.
