1956 Gretsch 6129 Silver Jet - Silver Sparkle
Center Stage Vintage Guitars is very proud to offer one of the most striking Gretsches we've ever seen: this 1956 Silver Jet!
This is a remarkably clean example, with the main condition issues being confined largely to the back such as an area where the finish has bubbled up on the bout, some dents, dings, and impressions and edgewear.
The wood around the 17th fret inlay appears to have been patched up for some reason and the metal on the bridge pickup has started to tarnish thanks to the off gassing of the pickup spacer. There's also an area near the pickguard bracket where the binding is starting to pull away.
The Dynasonic pickups, knobs and switches all function as intended and are original to the guitar, as is the Melita bridge. The frets are low and have some wear the guitar still plays cleanly throughout with a great neck angle that allows for super low, even action.
