1941 Gibson J-35 - Natural
Produced in the last year of the depression-era J-35 before the model cross faded into the iconic J-45, this example carries many of the same appointments as an early J-45 including two tonebars and scalloped top bracing.
This example has had some crack repairs over the years, most notably between the bridge and the soundhole. That area also appears to be over-sprayed when viewed under a blacklight. All cracks on the guitar have been repaired and cleated.
The bridge has been replaced with a slightly larger profile bridge, and the bridge plate has been replaced with a larger rosewood example.
The action is low and even with plenty of saddle height left, and the truss rod functions perfectly. The frets have some slight divots in them but nothing that impacts playability.
