1960 Fender Precision Bass with Rosewood Fretboard
Exceptional player-grade pre-CBS Fender! This P-Bass was recently sourced out of a collection in Illinois and comes ready to rock and roll.
Has had an apparent refinish long ago which sits atop a gray primer coat. The neck is missing a pencil date which is not uncommon for Basses made in 1960. The logo is flaking off the face of the headstock, and both pots have been replaced with one dating to 1963 and the other 1983.
The pickup and bridge covers are missing and the original tortoise guard has shrunk slightly but not cracked. The body dates to November 1960, giving this example a very early 1961 serial number.
The pickups are original as well as the unbranded reverse tuning machines.
