Here we have a stunning minimally-faded Candy Apple Red Jaguar with transitional appointments! Seeing a bound fingerboard with pearl dots, one would usually assume late 1965, but this example is decidedly early 1966 with a February neck date and mid-late 1965 pot codes.

This example was sourced from the wife of the original owner who cherished the guitar for almost 60 years.

Overall a largely clean example with some finish checking, neck wear on the treble side of the neck, some scattered dents, dings and impressions including a few deeper ones as shown in the photos.

The guitar presents as all original save for the neck pickup which was swapped back in the day with a black bobbin pickup of unknown origin which had also stopped working by the time the guitar reached us. It is currently equipped with a modern Fender 1965 reissue gray bobbin replacement neck pickup under the original cover. The pickup we received the guitar with will be included in the case.

  • Nut width: 1.65"
  • Neck depth at 1st fret: .90"
  • Neck depth at 12th: .925"
  • Weight: 8lbs 7oz

The frets are in good shape with some mild divots that do not largely impact playability. Comes in the original hardshell case.
